Manager, Talent Acquisition

SUMMARY

As a key team member of our growing HR team, this newly created opportunity will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing critical talent acquisition strategies and programs. The position will develop strategies to identify, source, assess and hire a variety of positions across the entire company; work closely with our HR business partners to create a positive candidate experience; act as a valuable resource to hiring managers; and collaborate seamlessly across multiple client groups and all levels within the organization. This will also include managing a growing recruiting team, contract recruiters and third-party staffing agencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

Develop recruitment strategies, programs, plans, budgets, and collateral, such as brochures about the Company and its opportunities;

Partner with hiring managers & HR Business Partners to develop a full spectrum of sourcing strategies for budgeted, replacement, and temporary/contract hiring;

Ensure an outstanding candidate experience through consistent follow up communication and feedback to all parties involved;

Maintain, enhance and fully utilize the applicant tracking system (ATS) and source/implement new system when needed;

Identify future talent pipelining opportunities for key positions. Consistently build “A” Player candidate pools for key positions that support the strategic business objectives, and source, screen and develop ongoing relationships with top talent across the Company;

Manage the applicant screening process: obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position. Conduct interviews, check references, conduct background screens and develop/negotiate offers;

Manage community outreach, college recruiting and diversity programs;

Manage the onboarding and relocation process; and

Limited travel may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Outstanding communication skills (verbal & written) are required;

Must possess flexibility/an attitude of “doing what it takes” within an evolving mid-sized company;

Experience with various ATS and CRM platforms, where ADP’s ATS is helpful;

Proven experience sourcing and assessing passive talent is a must (be a hands-on recruiter);

Visible social media recruiting skills on platforms such as LinkedIn is highly preferred;

Strong project management and multi-tasking skills are essential;

Strong negotiation skills required;

Must be detailed-oriented with a focus on accuracy;

Must be able to meet deadlines and hiring goals in a fast-paced environment;

Knowledgeable of OFFCP guidelines and experience with AAPs;

Experience with behavioral interviewing and other assessment tools/techniques; and

Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

BS in Business Administration or related degree and a minimum of 7 years’ recruiting experience, 3 years’ in Life Sciences is required (or equivalent experience may be substituted); commercial recruiting experience is a plus. Successful experience leading a recruiting team and managing third-party vendors. Scientific background is a plus.
