Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist

SUMMARY

As a key team member of our growing HR team, the Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist will identify, source, assess and hire a variety of positions within Neurocrine Biosciences. This position works closely with our HR business partners to create a positive candidate experience, act as a valuable resource, and collaborate seamlessly across multiple client groups. May also include recruiting responsibilities such as coordinate and schedule interviews, assist with streamlining processes and other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

Partner with hiring managers & HR Business Partners to develop a full spectrum of sourcing strategies for budgeted, replacement, and temporary/contract hiring;

Ensure an outstanding candidate experience through consistent follow up communication and feedback to all parties involved;

Assist in the development of recruitment programs, strategies, plans, budgets, and collateral, such as brochures about the Company and its opportunities;

Maintain, enhance and fully utilize the applicant tracking system (ATS);

Identify future talent pipelining opportunities for key positions. Consistently build “A” Player candidate pools for key positions that support the strategic business objectives, and source, screen and develop ongoing relationships with top talent across the Company;

Review resumes and screen applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position. Will conduct full interviews, check references and conduct background screens as needed; and

Limited travel may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Outstanding communication skills (verbal & written) are required;

Must possess flexibility/an attitude of “doing what it takes” within an evolving mid-sized company;

Experience with various ATS and CRM platforms, where ADP’s ATS is helpful;

Proven experience sourcing and assessing passive talent is a must;

Visible social media recruiting skills on platforms such as LinkedIn is highly preferred;

Strong project management and multi-tasking skills are essential;

Must be detailed-oriented with a focus on accuracy;

Must be able to meet deadlines and hiring goals in a fast-paced environment; and Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

BS in Business Administration or related degree and a minimum of 3 years of recruiting experience in the Life Sciences is required (or equivalent experience may be substituted), with at least 1 year of commercial recruiting experience highly preferred.
