Temporary Talent Acquisition Specialist
As a key team member of our growing HR team, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will initially work closely with our commercial leaders to interview and select key field based regional representatives and managers. In the long-term, the Specialist will identify, source, assess and hire a variety of positions within Neurocrine Biosciences. This position would work closely with our HR business partners to create a positive candidate experience, act as a valuable resource, and collaborate seamlessly across multiple client groups.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
Initially (November 2016 – March 2017) the position requires intermittent weekly travel with the sales management team to several (5 to 7) “hub” cities across the country to interview NeuroPsych Account Specialists (NAS) and participate in talent selection debrief sessions. In the future, this may be required on a periodic basis;
Partner with hiring managers & HR Partners to develop a sourcing strategies for budgeted and replacement positions;
Ensure an outstanding candidate experience through consistent follow up communication and feedback to all parties involved;
Assist in the development of recruitment programs, strategies, plans, budgets, and collateral, such as brochures about the organization and our opportunities;
Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) and identify future talent pipelining opportunities for key positions. Consistently build A Player candidate pipelines for key positions that support the strategic business objectives, and source, screen and develop ongoing relationships with top commercial sales talent, building a solid candidate pool for replacement requisitions and field team builds; and
Reviews resumes and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position.
Outstanding communication skills (verbal & written);
Experience with various ATS and CRM platforms;
Proven utility experience sourcing and assessing passive talent;
Visible social recruiting skills on platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.;
Strong project management and multi-tasking skills are essential;
Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy; and
The candidate must be able to meet deadlines and hiring goals in a fast-paced environment; Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
BS in Business Administration or related degree and a minimum of 3 years of recruiting experience in the Life Sciences in required, with at least 1 year of commercial recruiting experience highly preferred.
