Temp, HR Benefits Representative
Assist HR in benefits legal requirements and government reporting regulations and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance;
Administer benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance;
Analyze overall benefit competitiveness, to market and/or adjusts plans to fit company culture and needs;
Interact with and advise employees on a range of individual benefits, such as insurance, retirement, COBRA, IRS Section 125, FMLA, and other associated benefits as available;
Review and process individual benefits enrollment and related documentation for completeness, accuracy and compliance;
Utilize HRIS ADP system to process all transactions through Benefit Administration including personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations;
Ensure accuracy of on-line deductions for all benefits;
Generate appropriate notification of changes to employees and payroll;
Conduct benefit new employee orientation;
Coordinate open enrollment program for all employees;
Resolve and/or assist with employee benefit questions and problems as appropriate; and
Investigate work-related accidents and prepare worker’s compensation reports for insurance carrier.
Must have strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills. Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and work well within a team environment. Knowledgeable with state and federal labor regulations and policies. Must have demonstrated ability to deal effectively and confidentially with employees at all levels and with a diverse workforce.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
BA in Business Administration or a related field with 3 years’ Human Resources experience, or high school diploma or equivalent, with 6 years’ experience in human resources. Experience with HRIS and computer spreadsheet software (Excel and or Access, Microsoft Word and Power Point) required; ADP Workforce Now is highly preferred. Experience preferably in biopharmaceutical or hi-tech manufacturing regulated environment.
