Scientist, Preclinical – Drug Metabolism
- Design, plan, write study protocols, and conduct controlled experiments to characterize DMPK properties of new investigational drugs with minimal supervision. This role will also collect, analyze, interpret complex data, communicate results, and write reports in a timely manner. Work collaboratively with other scientists, technicians and colleagues as a part of a multi-disciplinary project teams. Understand and interpret study protocols/SOP’s to ensure that the tasks are conducted accurately. Monitor DMPK studies at Contract Research Organizations and other duties as assigned.
- Minimum PhD in chemistry/biology or bachelors with 5+ years of relevant experience. Experience performing in vitro or in vivo DMPK studies. Demonstrated competency in bioanalytical chemistry (particularly LC/MS), in vitro metabolism (microsomes, hepatocytes, transporter models, induction models), metabolite ID, tissue culture, or automation.) Working knowledge of PK concepts and ability to work safely with potentially toxic and/or radio active compounds.
