Director, Medical Affairs
Working from our San Diego office, this individual leads & manages the MSL team and medical education function while working closely across multiple disciplines, including clinical project teams, clinical project managers, business development, regulatory, marketing and others as needed. Manages the medical publications plan while working with business, marketing and clinical development teams to carry out the publication plan for late phase and launched products. Manages clinical programs in phase IV, interfacing closely with marketing to assess product opportunities, and develop post filing, pre-launch and post-launch clinical strategy and product commercialization plans. Works directly on phase IV studies depending on need.
MD plus accredited residency and accredited fellowship in relevant clinical specialty (i.e., CNS diseases, neurology, psychiatry). PhD in related area or PharmD, plus equivalent experience may be substituted for MD. Minimum five years experience in a medical affairs role and two year leading MSLs, medical information and phase IV trials. Must have pre-launch and KOL experience. Must have strong oral, written and presentation skills. Must have strong technical knowledge in CNS, neurology and/or psychiatry diseases and pharmaceuticals.
