Medical Director


The medical director will primarily be engaged in Medical Affairs activities including Scientific Publications, Medical Information Services, Pharmacovigilance, Grants, Medical Science Liaison interactions with Scientific Leaders and education of Neurocrine employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide medical support and work closely with a multidisciplinary team at Neurocrine involving both Commercial and R & D project team members including clinical operations, business development, regulatory affairs, and sales and marketing.
  • Supports medical affairs activities by working with external vendors as needed for various projects.
  • Longer term, may require management of up to 4 direct reports.

Highly effective communicator with good team collaboration skills. Passion for education and addressing unmet medical needs in Neurology and Psychiatry.  Proven ability to develop internal relationships as well as external relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and industry experts.


M.D. degree plus accredited residency and accredited fellowship in relevant clinical specialty. (Psychiatry or Neurology).  Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Affairs or related activities in a pharmaceutical (preferably), biotechnology company or consulting capacity.  Experience conducting Phase 4 studies and non-interventional observational studies is an advantage.
