Scientist – In Vitro
Job Description: Seeking a collaborative and dynamic In Vitro Pharmacologist to join our Biology team. The primary role will be to act as Biology lead on several drug discovery project teams. Responsibilities will include development of robust cell-based and biochemical assays supporting the drug discovery process, delivering robust SAR data and deep dive explorations of MOA. This individual will be an integral member of the pharmacology team supporting multiple new target HTS screening efforts and lead optimization campaigns. The work will be fast paced and process oriented in an environment which is predicated upon continuous improvement where everyone is encouraged, and expected, to contribute to improving department efficiency.
Qualifications: Requires a BSc or PhD and a minimum of 5+years’ experience in the drug discovery industry. Extensive experience in development, optimization and execution of a broad range of in vitro biological assays is essential, including GPCR, kinases and ion channels. Experience using modern automation, inventory systems, data analysis and informatics systems is a must. Experience with receptor binding kinetics and occupancy studies are a plus. The successful applicant will be an independent thinker that enjoys working in a collaborative and dynamic environment. The position will require a self-motivated individual with excellent record keeping and communication skills, both written and verbal.
